Welcome to Miami Yoder JT-60

Welcome!  Miami-Yoder School District is a small, rural school district located approximately 38 miles east of Colorado Springs, Colorado.  We serve a Pre-School through 12th grade population of approximately 346 students in three schools: Elementary (P-5), Middle School (6-8), and High School (9-12).  The school population is 79% White, 15% Hispanic, 3.5% Asian, 2% Native American, and .5% Black.  About 53% of students qualify for Free or Reduced lunch.

Miami-Yoder School District is a partnership of professionals, parents, and community members dedicated to providing a rigorous, challenging curriculum in a positive environment, giving opportunities which foster and encourage individuals to be successful, productive, citizens.

1.21.08:
Miami-Yoder School District JT-60 announces that on March 17, 2008, The Neenan Company, a general contracting company employed by the district to construct our new school, will be holding an informational session with interested subcontractors for all phases of construction related to the school.  You may contact Mr. Andrew Garside at 970-419-1856 for specific details related to The Neenan Company’s requirements for employment.  Mr. Garside may also be reached at andrew.garside@neenan.com.

The informational meeting will start at 10:00 A.M. and will be held in the portable classroom located east of the preschool on the school district’s campus.

 

 

Dec. 07:
The Miami Yoder School posts "most significant gains in academic achievement, as measured by CSAP, since testing began in 1997" states Richard Walter, Superintendent.  The Miami-Yoder school district now ranks 111th of 178 school districts in Colorado, moving up 39 places into the 39th percentile.  We had a greater percentage of students score proficient or advanced on this past CSAP test than ever before.
